Mission

Our mission is to make sure we never leave anyone of our own behind.

We support elderly, destitute, current and former Zimbabweans who have suffered as a result of political, social and economic hardships in Zimbabwe.

We seek to supplement a basic minimum living standard by contributing funding for food, medical assistance and an acceptable place to live.

We will do our upmost to support those needing our help for the rest of their natural lives.

Our history

In 2004 a group, who were to be the founding trustees, learnt of several former Zimbabweans, living  in wretched poverty in Cape Town. Some tragically were driven to ending their lives out of desperation and hopelessness.

These were not isolated folk. There are thousands of similar former and current Zimbabweans living in abject misery.  It was clear that most of these folk we just like us, or our parents, or friends that we once knew. School teachers who taught us, childhood friends who we were once inseparable from, farmers who lose their lands, civil servants who served a lifetime yet lost their pensions.

A decision was taken to form a charitable trust and to seek out other Zimbabweans suffering in similar conditions and to provide them with monthly food vouchers. From there the Trust grew to include Zimbabweans across South Africa and Zimbabwe.

Today, more tan 20 years later the Trust fund food vouchers every single month for over 50 M’dala pensioners, living in South Africa and Zimbabwe, and equally white and black.
